How to copy CD/DVD content into disc image (ISO)
Disc content image (the normal filetype is ISO) is a kind of file that resemble the structure of real cd/dvd content, hence can be burned directly into cd/dvd using burning image software, such as nero burning ROM, infrarecorder, etc.
There are many tools to create disc content image, but i like to count on the free and open source softwares. One i like most is infrarecorder, After the program installed, you could click Actions > Copy Disc > to a Disc Image menu to create soft copy of your cd/dvd.

After you create your ISO, you could directly use the .ISO file as cd/dvd using CD/dVD emulator software.
If you use WIndows XP. there is a free software from microsoft that can be used to emulate the cd/dvd from iso file. It’s name is VCdControlTool.exe.
