How to reset canon pixma ip 1200 and ip 1600
This is a problem form many Canon Pixma IP1200 and IP1600.
Problem symptoms :
- The LED is blinking, you have to hit the Resume button to print.
- Everytime the printer prints, there will be a ink tank full message.
Solutions:
You have to reset your printer, hardwarely and softwarely:
Hardwarely:
- Shutdown the printer, take off the power cable from power supply.
- Push the power button and maintain your pressure.
- Plug in the power cable.
- Now, click the resume button twice (2X)
- take off your power button pressure.
Softwarely:
- Download Pixma IP1200 and IP1600 resetter from http://www.printersiam.com/data/download/ip1600st.zip.
(for other resetter, you can visit http://www.printersiam.com/default.asp?page=download) - Extract the file on one folder.
- Execute GeneralTool.exe.
- On USB Port, choose the printer port you used.
- Give a check on EEPROM CLEAR.
- Now, test your printing by clicking the Test Pattern1 button.
The printer should behave correctly right now……
